How to burn Audio CDs from MP3s using K3B under Ubuntu |

Recently I wanted to burn an old, classical Audio CD (yes, you read right) from a MP3-Album purchased via Amazon MP3 (which is an amazing service btw).The reason is simple:I wanted to listen to the music in my living room, where only a rather old CD/DVD player does his job - not MP3 enabled or anything else.
I am really happy with K3B under Ubuntu - the best burning tool I ever had (better than all GNOME tools I tried, the KDE based K3B is not really beautiful when you're a gnome user but its beautiful that it "just works").
So - started K3B - "new audio cd project"- wanted to drag some mp3s to the disc :"error" -- KDE denied to make the audio CD from MP3s because of some codec issues (codec issues again - the achilles heel of ubuntu/linux).
but after some googling I found a quick and easy solution - it is simply required to install a codec package:
sudo apt-get install libk3b6-extracodecs
and thats it! -- works perfectly!!!

Java Build Tools: Ant vs. Maven
A very interesting (some kind of polemic but logical correct) article on the endless discussion on java build tools - ant vs. maven. Some cites:

Die neue Website www.mcdonalds.at hat einen groben Bug und kann
mit Mozilla Firefox (3.5) inkl. Adobe Flash 10 Plugin unter Ubuntu Linux
nicht benutzt werden.
Die Site wird zwar geladen, das Flash-Objekt angezeigt (die ganze Site ist ja
eigentlich ein einziges Flash Objekt) -- die weitere Navigation (Menü, Links) ist jedoch
unmöglich, da auf die Mausklicks NICHT reagiert wird - man kann sich also nur die
Startseite ansehen (die sieht zwar optisch recht schön aus, davon hat man aber
leider recht wenig wenn man spezifische Informationen sucht).
Leider gibt es auch keine "Failsafe" Variante, zB eine Pure-HTML Seite für solche Problemfälle.
Darüberhinaus möchte ich gar nicht wissen wie sich die Site für Menschen mit Sehbehinderungen
darstellt, die über Screenreader oder Braille-Zeile auf www.mcdonalds.at surfen?
Ich finde es sehr schade, dass ein so großes und öffentlich präsentes Unternehmen wie
MC Donalds hier einen so schwachen Web-Auftritt zeigt und nicht mal den
mittlerweile eigentlich selbstverständlichen Grundregeln des Web-Enginering wie
Usability und Accessibility Beachtung schenkt!
